The media in the UK simply do not understand science or engineering. Our lives and the world have been transformed by developments in science and engineering, and nearly always for the better. The epidemic of obesity sweeping much of the developed world is seriously dangerous but I don’t want to rant about the public health issues. I want to rant about fat acceptance.
